Hsinchu, Taiwan – October 2, 2025 – VertexCom, a leader in communication chip and networking software design, today announced that its VC735X System-on-Chip (SoC) has been officially certified by the Wi-SUN Alliance. The VC735X is among the first in the industry to obtain Wi-SUN FAN 1.1 Router and Border Router certifications, which include both FAN 1.0+ and HP specifications.
The certification, covering 902–928 MHz (NA/BZ) and 920–928 MHz (JP) frequency bands, underscores VertexCom’s leadership in enabling the latest Wi-SUN standard to support smart grid and IoT infrastructure upgrades across North America, Brazil, and Japan.

The VC735X is VertexCom’s next-generation Wi-SUN FAN RF Mesh Wireless SoC, fully supporting the Wi-SUN FAN 1.1 protocol with seamless backwards compatibility to Wi-SUN FAN 1.0.
