VertexCom EVCC Chip Shipments Exceed 1 Million Units, Empowering EV Charging Communication Development


Hsinchu, Taiwan – July 30, 2025 – VertexCom, a leading provider of smart charging communication chips, announced today that its high-speed power line communication chip, MSE1022 + MSEX25-i, which complies with the HomePlug GreenPHY standard and the ISO15118-3 communication protocol for electric vehicle(EV) charging systems, has cumulative shipments exceeding 1 million units. This achievement, driven by the rapid growth of China's electric vehicle industry, demonstrates strong market acceptance and technical prowess. This milestone marks a significant accomplishment for VertexCom in the burgeoning EV market.

VertexCom’s MSE1022 chip is fully compatible with the HomePlug® GreenPHY standard. Notably, GreenPHY has become the core foundation of ISO15118-3 (DIN70121), the international data communication standard for CCS electric vehicle charging systems. Every electric vehicle supporting CCS1/CCS2 charging protocols will need to integrate an EVCC module that complies with the ISO15118 standard. VertexCom's GreenPHY chip MSE1022, paired with MSEX25-i, is perfectly suited for vehicle-end (EVCC) applications, designed to meet high throughput and low latency performance requirements. It is widely applicable in various high-speed power line communication (PLC) markets, including automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics.

VertexCom's GreenPHY chip has passed the AEC-Q100 Grade 2 automotive reliability test and completed ASPICE Level 1 evaluation, fully meeting the stringent requirements of automobile manufacturers for chip design, development, and quality management. Additionally, in reliability testing, the GreenPHY chip achieved a junction temperature (Tj) of 150°C, meeting the most demanding OEM/ODM mission requirements.
